Danny Ray Davis, 55

Danny Ray Davis, 55 of West Portsmouth, died unexpectedly on Saturday February 28, 2009 at his home. He was born July 10, 1953 in Portsmouth to the late Robert and Elsie Cooper Davis. He was a 1970 graduate of Portsmouth High School and retired after 20 years with Meenach's Oil. Along with his parents Danny was preceded in death by a son Christopher Davis, a sister Sandi Davis, mother-in-law Ethel Pack and nephew Mark Reeder. Danny will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Danny is survived by his wife Margaret Pack Davis who he married March 16, 1974, a son Danny Ray (April) Davis II, a daughter Tracy Lynn Blanton, grandchildren; Kayla Bell, Daniel Davis, Haylee Davis and Alexis Blanton. He is also survived by brothers; Robert Davis of Columbus, Eddie Davis of West Portsmouth, Ronnie and Mary Davis of Huntington, WV and sisters; Barbara Jenkins of Portsmouth, Carol Reeder of West Portsmouth and Jeannie and Jerry McCloud of Columbus, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; Tom and Linda Pack and James and Linda Pack all of Columbus, David and Terri Pack, Carrie Lockhart and Carol Pack all of West Portsmouth, Kathy and James Howell of Lucasville, Susan and Richard Howard of McDermott and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday March 3, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Robert Coffey officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Monday and 1 hour prior to the service in Tuesday.
