David R. Cooper, 70

David R. Cooper, 70 of Columbus, formerly of Portsmouth died Tuesday July 29, 2014 at Mt Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He was born August 26, 1943 in Portsmouth to the late Turley Alexander and Edna Spence Cooper. He was a retired Linen Route Salesman, Along with his parents David is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Kenny and Roger Cooper and 3 sisters; Delores Cullen, Rosetta Campbell and Nancy Cooper. David is survived by his wife Linda Bean Cooper who he married on March 27, 1964, a daughter Sherri Jo Sykes and a son Greg (Jackie) Cooper all of Columbus, and a brother Larry Cooper of Stoutsville.. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday August 3, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with John Robinson officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6:00 PM on Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
