David Earl Sparks, 69
David Earl Sparks, 69 of West Portsmouth died Tuesday January 1, 2008 at his residence. He was born March 7, 1938 in Buena Vista to the late Ray Earl and Mildred Curnutte Sparks. He was also preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Jean Maddix. He was the owner-operator of "The Boat Shop" in West Portsmouth. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
David is survived by his wife Rosalee R. Clark Sparks, who he married on July 4, 1958, 3 sons; Jeff (Sherri) Sparks and Steve (Tanna) Sparks all of West Portsmouth and Greg (Patty) Sparks of Wheelersburg, a brother Michael (Carol) Hamilton and a sister Carolyn Burchett of Columbus, 4 grandchildren Tyler Jeffrey and Abbi Lynn Sparks, Justin Collins and Aarika Hollback and 2 nephews.
There will be graveside services 1:00 PM Friday January 4, 2008 at McKendree Cemetery with Sandy Hampton officiating. Interment will follow after the services.
