Delmar W. Burchett, 75
Delmar W. Burchett, 75, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Edgewood Manor.
He was born October 2, 1929 in Scioto County to the late Charles and Frona McKenzie Burchett. Delmar was a Korean Army Veteran, and was employed and retired as a machinist from Hagglunds Denison in Marysville, Ohio.
Delmar is survived by his wife, Genevieve Montavon Burchett; sisters, Jeanne Hunter of Liverpool, N.Y., Eva Porter of Portsmouth, Doris Locke of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Pond Creek with Father David Young officiating with interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery on Pond Creek. One hour of visitation will be held at the Church prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
