Delpha Louise Hammonds, 65

Delpha Louise "Dee" Hammonds, 65 of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1957, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Elijah and Mary June LaVann Carter.

Along with her parents Delpha was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Michael Hammonds; 2 brothers Ernest and Robert Carter, and a sister, Nancy Shuster.

Delpha had a heart of gold and loved God as well as her family.  She worked at Edgewood manor for 19 years and attended Grace Chapel Church for all of her adult life

Delpha is survived by 2 sons, James (Jeanie) Hammonds and Jeff (Loretta) Hammonds; a daughter Joanie (Floyd) Rollins; a brother Russell Carter; 6 sisters Margaret Madden, Violet Swain, Thelma Augustine, Mary Brumfield, Linda Reynolds and Marie Lansing; 3 grandchildren; Makala (Rudy), Michael (Nicole), Hailey and 2 great grandchildren; Abbie and Claire, her best friend, Belinda Lute, several nieces and nephews and her fur babies, Luke and Dixie.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Alex Bloomfield officiating and interment in Vaughters Cemetery.
