Denver Duane Seaman, son of Denver A. Seaman and Annetta Mae Evans Seaman was born in Jefferson Township near Blue Creek, Oh on February 21, 1932 and departed this life August 13, 2010 at the age of 78 years 6 months and 23 days. In early life he attended Blue Creek and Manchester Schools and was in the Army and served in Korea. After returning from Korea, He lived in Grove City, Oh and worked for a construction company, the he worked for Penny's driving long distance Trucks. After retiring, he moved to Otway, Oh. Duane and his brother Ronald remodeled homes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step father; Denver Smith, a grandson; Dustin and half brother; James L. Smith
He is survived by three daughters; Jacqueline Brodt of Blue Creek, Oh, Denise Seaman of Nakina, NC and Rebecca Jones of Dayton, Oh and one son; Dennis Seaman of Dayton, Oh, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one half sister; Alice Ann (Lloyd) Newman, one half brother; Ronald (Becky) Smith all of Rarden, one aunt; Jo Meranda of Seaman, Oh, one uncle; Homer (Bessie) Evans of West Union, Oh: along with several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends, one special cousin; Bobby Lee Evans, Sr. of Blue Creek, Oh.
Over the hills the sheperd came tenderly seeking His own, gently, so quietly, He beckoned His hand, and called our loved one home.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Mark Bales officiating. Interment will be in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
