Dollie Brown, 87
Dollie Brown, 87, of Blue Creek died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Dollie was born September 7, 1916 in Adams County, Ohio to the late
Ambrose and Elizabeth Royal Brown. She was a homemaker, a member of Mackletree Baptist Church and attended Tick Ridge Baptist Church.
Dollie was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Brown, Sr. She is survived by four sons, William Brown of Friendship, Everett and Leroy Brown of Portsmouth, and Charles Brown of Otway; seven daughters, Violet Scott of Lucasville, Pauline Scott of Wheelersburg, Maxine Neal of Portsmouth, Myrtle Crabtree of Piketon, Mary Alice Rhoden of Mississippi, Rosetta Hobbs and Susie Bishop of West Portsmouth; Two brother, Joe Brown of Ravena and James Brown of Cleveland, two sisters, Grace Simpson and Edna Ferris of Ravena; 73 grandchildren, 113 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren. Dollie was preceded in death by 5 daughters, Phyllis Bertran, Mable Hobbs, Maria, Sarah and Maria Judy Brown; three sons, Junior, Edgar, and Joe Brown and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, September 5, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Jerry Jones officiating and interment in Drake Cemetery at Blue Creek. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. on Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
