Dolores Ruth Mignerey, 81

Dolores Ruth Mignerey, 81 of West Portsmouth, died Monday November 9, 2009 at SOMC Hospice. She was born January 17, 1928 in West Portsmouth to the late Charles and Esther Lola McCann Mitchell. She was a graduate of Washington High School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from Ohio University. She retired from Washington-Nile School District in 1992 after 27 years of teaching. She was a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church in West Portsmouth, Eastern Star, White Shrine, West Portsmouth Garden Club and OEA. Along with her parents Delores was precede in death by a son Robert B. "Bobby" Mignerey Jr., 2 brothers; Donald E. Mitchell and Eynon "Popeye" Mitchell.

Dolores is survived by her husband Robert B. Mignerey who she married on July 26, 1946 in Greenup , Kentucky, a son Steven (Beverly) Mignerey of West Portsmouth, 3 granddaughters; Christy (Kenny) Irwin, Heather (Brian) Howard and Sheena Mignerey, 5 great grandchildren; McKenzie, Steven and Mitchell Irwin and Bobbie Jo and Charlie Jo Howard.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rick Phillips and Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to8:00 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
