Dolores A. Shepherd, 79

Dolores A. Boyd Shepherd, 79 of Dry Run, West Portsmouth passed away Monday August 29, 2011 at her residence after a brief battle with cancer. She was born March 3, 1932 in West Portsmouth to the late Charles E. and Lena Mae Smith Boyd. Dolores was a member of the Eastern Star and had worked for Selby Shoe Company. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ray E. (Ed) Shepherd who she married on January 13, 1951 and passed away on October 3, 2000, 2 brothers; Jack and Bill Boyd.

Dolores is survived by 2 sons; Danny Shepherd of Dry Run and Darrell "Tom" (Jackie) Shepherd of West Portsmouth, a sister; Lavanda Ricks of Rosemount, a brother; Larry Boyd of Wheelersburg, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, a special aunt Mary Speck of West Portsmouth and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday September 1, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jimmy McCullough officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
