Donald R. Boland, 63

Donald "Donnie" Ruggles Boland, 63 of Buena Vista died Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1951 in Maysville, Kentucky to Vernon Boland of Buena Vista and the late Alice Helen Ruggles Boland. Donald was a 1969 graduate of Portsmouth West High school and was a former employee of Midland Grocery Store Betsy Ross and Bordan's Milk Company. He was a member of the NRA, Natural Wildlife Federation, and the Wrightsville Church.

Along with his father Donald is survived by his wife Brenda Sue Murphy Boland whom he married January 2, 1976. A son Donald Allen Lee (Rochelle) Boland "Sonny", 2 daughters; Amelia Gwyn "Amy" (Matthias) Applegate of Stout, and Allison Nicole (Zachary) Kennedy of West Union, a brother Gregory Allen Boland of Portsmouth, 10 grandchildren; Gracie Boland, Abie Boland, Emilee Applegate, Paden Kennedy, Luke Applegate, Kadie Boland, Elliana Applegate, Josiah Kennedy, Olivia Kennedy, and Addie Boland.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday February 3, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Owen Applegate and Johnny Greenlee officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Spring Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
