Donna Sue Ridout, 77

Donna Sue Ridout, 77 of West Portsmouth, died Wednesday March, 22, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. She was born August 6, 1945 in Portsmouth to the late Joe and Sadie Givens Sowards.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Ridout, whom she married on July 23, 1966,2 brothers: Joseph Sowards Jr., and Rick Sowards, and 2 sisters: Phyllis Sowards and Tina Marie Smith.

Donna retired from Washington -Nile Local School District where she was a custodian. She was a member of the Boilermakers Union and also Rubyville Community Church.

Donna is survived by a son Mark (Jessica) Ridout, 3 grandchildren: Dalton Ridout, Rachael (Cody) Ridout and Ezra Ridout, a great grandchild, Zoewie Ridout along with several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday March 29, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Calvin Ray Evans and Brian Baer officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday.
