Dorothy "Dot" Hammond, 69
Dorothy "Dot" Hammond, 69, of Otway went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Dorothy was born December 28, 1936 in Scioto County to the Late Goble and Ruth Mae Bloomfield Kitchen. She worked for many years at the Wallpaper Closeout.
Dot is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lee Hammond; two sons, Brian (Lisa) Hammond of Rarden and Bruce (Sheila) Hammond of West Portsmouth; two daughters, Beverly (Rick) Horsley of Rarden and Brenda (Donald) Shepherd of West Portsmouth and Robert Jones who is loved as a son and a brother to the family; a brother Goble (Buster) Kitchen of Portsmouth; a sister Katherine Hardyman of Bidwell, OH; grandchildren Christopher (Amanda) Hammond, Angela (Rob) Horsley, Seth Shepherd, Jordan Hammond, Jennifer (JM) Mosley and Michael Bennett; and a special friend Susie
Kellstadt. She was preceded in death by a son Barry Hammond. Dot was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed very much.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Robert Temple and Paul Gibson officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11 to 1 P.M. on Friday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
