Dorothy "Burns" Scott, 57
Dorothy "Burns" Scott, 57 of New Boston died, Wednesday August 11, 2010 at her home. She was born November 15, 1952 in Portsmouth to the late Delbert and Bessie Jordan. Along with her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by a son Stanley E. Scott Jr. and a daughter Cynthia Ann Scott. She did private duty nursing and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Dorothy is survived by a son; Delbert Archie Scott of Portsmouth and a daughter; Teresa Ann (Aaron) Franklin of Blue Creek, 3 brothers; Jack J. Jordan of Stout, Eugene Jordan of Sardinia and Kenneth Jordan of Lucasville, 3 sisters; Joann Scott, Ilene Scott and Evelena Fisher all of West Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren; Brooklyn Queen and Allison Franklin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday August 13, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jack Jordan officiating and interment in Worley's Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 pm on Thursday and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
