Dorothy M. Sturgill, 89

Dorothy M. Sturgill, 89 of West Portsmouth died Friday December 12, 2008 at SOMC Hospice. She was born December 1, 1919 in Greenup County Kentucky to the late James and Bertha Madden Horsley. She was a homemaker and a former Selby Shoe Company employee. She was a member of Peoples Tabernacle and Tallige Fire Cherokee Nation. Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Elige Sturgill, 3 sisters; Martha Royster, Nellie Greenhill and Dellie Horsley, 3 brothers; Jesse "Ray", Oscar and Elbert Horsley and a grandson Jonathon Musick.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter and her husband Patricia and Benjamin Musick of West Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren; Benjamin and Victoria Musick of West Portsmouth and Rachel and John Mullins of West Portsmouth, 3 great grandchildren Jessica, Christopher and Fern Musick all of West Portsmouth, 3 sisters; Anna Hanners of Bellville, Ohio, Geneva Kaut of Rosemount and Mary Littleton of Lucasville.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday December 15, 2008 at Peoples Tabernacle in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens. Friends may call at the Roger W.
