Douglas Edward Cooley, 67

Douglas Edward Cooley, 67, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, died Friday, April 12, 2013. He was born September 3, 1945 in New Boston, Ohio to the late Russell H. and Ruie Johnson Cooley. Douglas was a retired painter and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was also member of Mt. Zion Apostolic church in West Portsmouth.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Lola Mae Deaver Cooley whom he married July 1, 1967 in West Portsmouth, 3 sons: Timothy Edward Cooley of New Boston,  Christopher Dale Cooley of Columbus, and Joseph Russel Cooley of West Portsmouth, 2 daughters; Regina Lennex, and Cheryl Thornton both of West Portsmouth. 2 brothers; Robert Cooley of New Boston, and Donald Cooley of South Carolina, 1 sister, Marilyn Stiltner of Portsmouth, 7 grandchildren; Tiffany, Zech, Dwight, Ashley, Samantha, Andria and Kyle, 4 great grandchildren along with several nieces nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be ­­­­­­­1p.m. Monday April 15, 2013 at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church in West Portsmouth with Donald Harr and Edward Messer officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery.
