Edna Stamper Molen Compton, 97
Edna Stamper Molen Compton, 97 of West Portsmouth, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday October 10, 2008 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born March 5, 1911 in Garrison, Kentucky to the late O.E. and Cora Stamper Molen. She was a secretary, bookkeeper and a homemaker. She also was a member of Dry Run Church of Christ. Along with her parents Edna was preceded in death by her husband Harlo Compton and a son-in-law Bob Collins.
Edna is survived by a son Jack (Linda) Compton of West Portsmouth and a daughter Carol Collins of Wheelersburg, 6 grandchildren Cindy (Rory) Phillips, Cathy (Terry) Bailey, Chip Collins, Jonathan (Rachelle) Collins, Jill (Ron) Rymple, Jacki (Jordan) Mechanic, 8 great grandchildren; Seth, Zach and Rachel Phillips, Lyden, Addison and Samantha Collins, Kieran Rymple and Jaxon Collins, a step brother Kent B. (Jean) Molen and a step sister Minteleen Werback.
Funeral services will be 8:00 PM Tuesday October 14, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mark Seevers officiating and interment in Rushtown Cemetery.
