Emery K. Dials Jr., 77

Emery K. Dials Jr., 77 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday November 17, 2016 at SOMC Hospice. He was born June 14, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Emery T Dials and Virginia Ferrell Pollard. Emery was a retired truck driver from Boone Coleman Construction. He was a member of Teamsters local # 92, Nauvoo Masonic Lodge # 769, the Moose and American Legion Post # 23. Along with his parents Emery is preceded in death by 2 sons; David Brian Dials and Emery Karl Dials III and a sister Carolyn "Geri" Elliott.

Emery is survived by his stepfather Lou Pollard of Moscow, Ohio, a son Randy (Lee) Dials of West Portsmouth, 2 daughters; Kathy Dials of West Portsmouth and Jeanie (Dwayne) Dillow of Shelbyville, KY.,3 brothers; Kenny Dials of West Portsmouth, Rick (Trenda) Pollard of Moscow and Todd (Kathy) Pollard of Hammersville, Oh, 7 grandchildren; David Dials, Rachel Dials, Dustin Mayhew, Josh Mayhew, Zion Dials, Bryson Dillow and Landon Dillow.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday November 20, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7:00 PM on Saturday and 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday. A Masonic service will held at 7:00 PM on Saturday by the Nauvoo Masonic Lodge # 769.
