Emma Jean Howard, 79
Emma Jean Howard, 79 of West Portsmouth died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Hempstead Manor in Portsmouth. Emma Jean was born September 17, 1925 in Vanceburg, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Doris Atkins Ruark. She was a homemaker, a member of Eastern Star and a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church.
Emma Jean is survived by her husband Ray Howard; one daughter, Deborah (John) Risner of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Walter Ruark of Sciotoville and Harry Ruark of Indianapolis; three sisters, Virginia McManus of Alabama, Frances Damron of Columbus, and Sue Vulgamore of Givens, OH; two granddaughters, Mandi (Gabe) Coriell of Lucasville and Andi Risner of Wheelersburg; two great grandsons, Devon Risner and Levi Coriell.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Matthew Brooks officiating and interment in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
