Emma Jane Brown Neal, 87
Emma Jane Brown Neal, 87, of Portsmouth died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Heartland of Portsmouth. Emma was born December 1, 1917 in Otway, Ohio to the late George T. and Ocie Marie Miller Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Stoney Run Freewill Baptist Church.
Emma was preceded in death by her first husband Otho Burchett and her second husband James William Neal. She is survived by two sons, Jerry K. Burchett of Portsmouth and William O. Burchett of Grove City; a step son Charles Neal of Miami, FL; a daughter, Sandra K. Martin of Lucasville; a step daughter Nettie Brown of Vanceburg, KY; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Emma was also preceded in death by a stepson Kenneth Neal; a daughter Phyllis K. Linville; three brothers, Melvin, Millard, and Richard Brown; a sister Dolly Llewelyn; and a grandson Jim Perry.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Craddock Frye officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
