Emma Eursaline Poole, 85

Emma Eursaline Poole, 85 of Portsmouth, died Wednesday August 27, 2008 at Heartland of Portsmouth. She was born November 29, 1922 in Portsmouth to the late Christopher Columbus and Clara Jane Bond Fields. She was a former employee of Selby Shoe Company and a long time salesperson for Avon. Along with her parents Emma was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Franklin Poole who she married on January 25, 1947 in Dayton Ohio, a son Michael Lloyd Carper, a grandson Nate Poole, a sister Mary Personette and 2 brothers; Christopher and Earl Fields.

Emma is survived by a daughter Judith Ann Poole Hammond of Covington, Ky., 2 sons; Joseph Vincent (Sandy) Poole and Daniel Franklin Poole both of Portsmouth, 11 grandchildren; Joey (Missy) Poole, Jessica (Adam) Dipzinski, Tommy Hammond, AJ Hammond, Sarah Hammond, Michelle Poole, Cody Mougey, Angie Southworth, Jason Veach, Jay (Kim) Carper, and Angie (Jimmy) Cowen, 18 great grandchildren; Ashton Hunt, Autum Dipzinski, Elly Poole, Gena Poole, Nate Haustetter, Wesley Robins, Kristen Robins, Marcella Holbrook, Faith Hammond, Ashley Hammond, Grace Hammond, Dawson Veach, Jonathan Cowen, Ellen Cowen, Jameson Cowen, Ryan Carper, Carolyne Carper and Jessica Lauren Carper, along with special neighbors Steve and Nancy Cottle.


Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday August 31, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jay Carper officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
