Emogene Shepherd Martin, 78
Emogene Shepherd Martin, 78 of West Portsmouth died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Best Care. Emogene was born October 8, 1927 in Garrett, KY to the late James B. and Berta Hicks Shepherd. She graduated from Washington Local High School in 1945; worked as a Postal Employee for many years and was the former owner of Dry Run Bus
Service.
Emogene was preceded in death by her husband James E. Martin, a brother Eugene Shepherd and a nephew Michael Shepherd. She is survived by a niece Janice Davis; three nephews, Russell, Daniel and Donald Shepherd and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her caregiver Brenda Blanton.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Don Malone officiating and interment in Mershon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11 to 1 on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
