Esta Owens, 76

Esta Owens, 76 a Portsmouth resident died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Heartland of Portsmouth. Esta was born July 6, 1930 in Portsmouth to the late Philip and Florida Ferguson Purtee. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Esta was preceded in death by her husband Charles Robert Owens. She is survived by a son, Charles (Cindy) Michael Owens of Paintsville; three daughters, Catherine Ruth Owens of New Boston, Ann Marie Sexton of Chillicothe, and Rena Sue Owens of Grayson, KY; a brother, Roger (Phyllis) Purtee of Hot Springs, AK; 16 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson. Also preceding Esta in death was a son, Robert Lee Owens, a daughter, Thelma Owens; five brothers, Billy, Raymond, Dallas, Denver, and Willard Purtee; a sister, Thelma Pence and one great grandchild Kayla Sexton.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with James Owens officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
