Etta Elnora Speck, 83

Etta Elnora Speck, 83, of Portsmouth entered into heaven on Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at Scioto Community Nursing Home in Columbus. Etta was born November 1, 1921 in Portsmouth to the late Samuel and Thelma Brock Shaeffer. She was also preceded in death by her step father Frank Schackert. Etta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and she will be missed terribly. Etta had worked as a Nurses Aide in Portsmouth and at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Etta is survived by her husband of 63 years, Owen S. Speck; three sons, Bill (Gay) Speck of Columbus, Lonnie (Donna) Speck of Tampa FL, Bob (Judy) Speck of Georgetown, KY; two brothers, Frank and David Schackart of Portsmouth; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Allen and Edna Keffer; five grandchildren Lee Speck, Tabatha Carson, Michael Speck, Jason Speck and Jessica Speck and four Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sondra; two sisters Doris Cunningham Severt and Francis "Dude" Matthews; and two brothers, Jim Shaeffer and Bud Schackert.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Doctor Eric Pohlschneider officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery.
