Eugene Quinn Perry, 88

Eugene Quinn Perry, 88 of Bristol VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol VA. He was born August 29, 1922 in Portsmouth to the late John Perry and Ida McGlone Perry. Eugene was retired from Pepsi after 36 years, a decorated WWII Veteran of the Marine Air Corps; He attended Highlands Fellowship church in Bristol Va., as well as being a member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 52 years Norma Jean Perry, and a brother; John Robert Perry.

Eugene is survived by his wife; Emma Jean Perry, a son Marc Ray (Debra) Perry of Bristol VA., a daughter; Connie Jean (Gary) Fleagle of Coldwater, MI., a sister; Janet (Milton) Maddox of West Carrolton, 6 grandchildren; Kevin Perry, Cheri Meyers, Melissa Perry, Shawn Taylor, Jeremiah Perry, Heather Flanagan, 2 step grandchildren; Phillip and Meghan Vest, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The family would like to thank Dr Jonathon Dixon for his care over the past two years. Also, Dr. John Mann and the 3rd floor nurses of the Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center for their tender care as well as, Phillip Vest, The Gathering Place, and Ted Castle for their special care.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday June 24, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military graveside rites by the James Dickey Post 23 of the American Legion.
