Eva Ellis, 82

Eva Burchett Ellis, 82 of McDermott, went to be with the Lord on Monday September 13, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born October 12, 1927 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Hazel Payton Burchett. She was a retired waitress and a homemaker. She was also an avid bowler in Portsmouth USBC Bowling Association. Along with her parents Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles William Ellis, a son William Michael Ellis a sister, Nettie Ellis and a brother James Burchett.

Eva is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in law; Steve and Cheryl Ellis of Wheelersburg, Hank and Amy Ellis of Minford and Jeff and Kathy Ellis of McDermott, 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Sherry and Jim Montgomery of Lucasville, Peggy and Charles Hurt of South Carolina and Robin Ellis of West Portsmouth, a brother Edward and Betty Burchett of Tipp City, 24 grandchildren 27great grandchildren with 4 more on the way, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday September 17, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Don Ellis officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
