Evelyn E. "Liz" Bentley, 88

Evelyn E. "Liz" Bentley, 88 of West Portsmouth, died Wednesday December 21, 2016 at Concord Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 12, 1928 in Portsmouth to the late James Everett and Nettie Davis Ratcliff. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Wiley Bentley, and 2 sisters; Phyllis Farney and Betty Lewis.

Evelyn retired from Mitchellace after 32 years and also was a cook for Libby's Diner in Portsmouth.

She is survived by her son Gary L. (Brenda) Bentley Sr. of West Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren; Gary L. Bentley Jr., and Christina E. Chase both of West Portsmouth. 2 brothers; Richard Dean Ratcliff of North Carolina, Frank (Nancy) Ratcliff of Columbus, 4 sisters; Ann (Joe) Adkins, Wilma (Bill) McKenzie all of Columbus, Rosie (Carlos) Harr of West Portsmouth and Pauline Adkins of Portsmouth,  4 great-grandchildren; Brittany Akins, Joesph Bentley, Kaleigh Bentley, and Shawna Briggs Stover, 7 great-great-grandchildren  and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 4:00PM on Friday December 23, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Carl Distel officiating and internment in Scioto Burial Park.
