Evelyn Kathleen Lopez, 93

Evelyn Kathleen Allen Lopez, 93 of Portsmouth, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 2, 2010 at Hillview Retirement Center. She was born April 13, 1917 in Dothen, Alabama to the late Calvin A. Allen and Beatrice Ware. Also proceeding her in death was her stepmother Thelma Allen, her husband Eugene Lee Lopez who she married in 1951, 5 brothers; George Donald, Calvin Douglas, Malcum Eugene, Charles Edgar and William Leon Allen. Evelyn was a retired Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and worked in North Little Rock Arkansas for 20 years. She attended Dry Run Church of Christ, she enjoyed gardening and raising roses. She loved people and loved to help them as she did her whole life.

Evelyn is survived by a son Ronald Lee Lopez M.D. and a daughter Nancy Kathleen McNair both of Chillicothe, 4 grandchildren; Natalie Michelle Lopez of Columbus, Ronald Lee Lopez Jr. of Danville, Ky., Garrett Alexander Lopez of Chillicothe, Jonathon Lee Hemmati of California.

Funeral services will be 8:00 PM Wednesday May 5, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Joe Bruch officiating. Interment will be in Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, Ky. at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 6:00 PM. The family request that donations be made to the Hillview Chapel fund in Evelyn's name.
