Floyd Edward Warren, 92

Floyd Edward Warren, 92 of Friendship died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Floyd was born July 12, 1913 in Scioto County to the late Edward and Jessie Maud Lavinder Warren. He retired from the Standard Oil Company where he worked for 40 years. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, served as a Trustee for Nile Twp., was a volunteer for Nile Twp. Fire Dept., a member of the Portsmouth West School Board, a member of the Nile Twp. Over 55 Club, and a Republican Committeeman for Nile Twp.. Floyd was a member of the Rome Masonic Lodge for over 60 years, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite.; and a member of the Ohio Valley Grange, and the UCT. Floyd served in the Army during WWII and received The Purple Heart and has been a member of the American Legion for over 50 years.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Frances Genevieve Honaker Warren. He is survived by a daughter Sandra Sue Warren; three grandchildren, Karen (Mark) Moellman, Jesse (Teresa) Hurd, Lora (Michael) Bowen; eight great grandchildren, Jason Edward (Annie) Hurd, Jessica Hurd, Jennifer Hurd, Ryan (Kathy) Moellman, Cara (Kevin) Aschliman, Katherine Moellman, Jamie Briana Bond, and Andrew Brian Bond; a step great grand daughter, Rachel Bowen; four great, great grandchildren, Bryson, Garrett, Quinton, and Jase Hurd. Floyd was also survived by a special niece, Sylvia Warren, a niece Sharon (Robert) Rader, and a niece Carol (Ron) Munn, and a nephew John (Rhonda) Warren. Floyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Reynold and John Warren.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Matthew Brooks officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 9 on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
