Forest D. Waddell, 87
Forest D. Waddell, 87 of Portsmouth, Ohio died Monday, October 17, 2005 at Hillview Healthcare. Forest was born November 26, 1917 in Portsmouth to the Late Glen and Mattie Swim Waddell. He was a WWII Army Veteran; a member of James Dickey Post 23 American Legion; Assistant Superintendent of the Blast Furnace at Empire-Detroit Steel; and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Chaffin Waddell; two daughters, Patricia Frye of West Portsmouth and Phyllis Waddell of Rosemount; three sisters, Wynona Crabtree of Pataskala, Wanda Thompson of Ironton and Juanita Waddell of Lucasville; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. Forrest was preceded in death by a son Forest Dale Waddell, Jr. and two brothers, Bob and Don Waddell.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Ken Ferguson officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Graveside Military Rites will be by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
