Forrest Lee Benner Sr., 79

Forrest Lee Benner Sr., 79 of Lancaster, formerly of McDermott, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Grant Medical Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born February 16, 1938 in Scioto County to the late Frank and Myrtle McClurg Benner. He retired after 37 years of work from Osco and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is proceeded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Forrest is survived by his wife of 55 years, Loretta Jane Snook Benner whom he married December 22, 1962, a son; Forrest Lee (Beverly) Benner Jr. of Sugar Grove, Ohio, a daughter; Debra Jane (David) Sonner of Galena, Ohio, a sister; Maudie Remy of Waverly, 7 grandchildren; Jessica and Melanie Sonner, Kristin (Shane) Emmert, Levi (Josie), Luke, Sarah, and Rebekah Benner, and a great-grandchild, Blakeleigh Emmert and another one on the way.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday January 7, 2018 at the Victory Baptist Church in West Portsmouth with Tim Knipp officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
