Frances Riehl Manning, 80

Frances Riehl Manning of Portsmouth, a former West Portsmouth resident was borne on June 3, 1924 in Portsmouth, OH, to the late Edward and Ethel McCally Riehl.  She was a homemaker, a member of Oldtown United Methodist Church and attended Nauvoo United Methodist Church.

On April 6, 1946 she married D. Kenneth Manning who preceded her in death on March 21, 1983.  Together they had one son Kenneth E. Manning who also preceded her in death on March 13, 1977.

She is survived by her granddaughter Devina Manning Donahue and her husband Frank W. Donahue; two great grandchildren Frank K. and Sarah E. Donahue; her daughter-in-law Theresa King-Manning Williams, numerous, adoptive grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Also surviving are her cousins, Caroline and Vern Ingles, Paul and Lonnie Montavon, Bill and Wanda Hurst, and Bill and Norma McCally.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor James Richter officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.  Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Condolences may be sent to manningfamily@rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
