Franklin Edward Prater, 64

Franklin Edward Prater, 64 of Portsmouth, died Saturday December 16, 2017 at SOMC Hospice. He was born December 6, 1953 in Portsmouth to the late Frank and Alberta "Bonnie" Prater. He was a 1972 graduate of Portsmouth West High School, a graduate of The Ohio State University and was the former owner of Pit Stop Carry Out.

Frank is survived by his wife Kimberly Prater whom he married September 10, 1993, a son James Franklin Prater, a brother Rodney Dale (Jamie) Prater, a sister Lori Lee (David) Rife, 3 nieces Cassandra (Cory) Bucko, Hollie (Collin) McCarty, and Jenna Jenkins, and his father and mother in law; James and Avanell Vance.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Chaz Horsley officiating and interment in Mershon Cemetery.
