Freda Denning, 92

Freda Elizabeth Denning, 92 of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday February 3, 2009 at Heartland of Portsmouth. She was born July 26, 1916 in West Portsmouth to the late T.T. and Icye Mabel Kline Denning. She was a former Selby Shoe Company employee and retired from Mercy Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Friendship. Along with her parents Freda was preceded in death by 2 brothers Elmer Denning and Russell Kline Denning.

Freda is survived by a brother and his wife Noble and Geneva Denning of West Portsmouth, 2 nieces; Rebecca Denning and husband Arthur Silva of Columbus and Wanda Kay Everman and husband Darwin of Slidell, La.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday February 6, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with John Gowdy officiating and interment in Rushtown Cemetery.
