Gail Elizabeth Galloway, 61

Gail Elizabeth Galloway, 61 of West Portsmouth went to be with the Lord Wednesday June 17, 2009 at SOMC Hospice. She was born June 25, 1947 in Portsmouth to the late Gilbert and Evelyn Evans Vendura. She was a 1966 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a graduate of Southern Ohio Business College. Gail was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She was also a dedicated employee with Scioto County Residential Services (MRDD), for over 18 years as a Supervisor. She was Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor, was a C.O.P.E Instructor and a member of the American Heart Association. Along with her parents Gail was preceded in death by a brother Danny Lee Vendura, a granddaughter Chelsey Lynn Potter, brother-in-law Frank Allen Newman and grandparents; Oscar (Matilda) Evans and Joseph (Elizabeth) Vendura

Gail is survived by 3 daughters; Kim (Jerry) Potter of Maloneton, KY. Tammy Hamilton, of Wheelersburg and Michele (Allen) Bradley of Lucasville, 1 son Garry (Catherine) Galloway of Youngstown, OH, 2 sisters; Mary Lynette Newman and Peggy (Tom) Whitt both of West Portsmouth, 8 grandchildren; Whitney and Amanda Potter, Zachary and Devon Hamilton, Kasey Carr, AJ Bradley, Matthew and Elizabeth Galloway along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Gary Proehl officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
