Genevieve Dunlap, 89

Genevieve Dunlap, 89 of Portsmouth died Tuesday October 7, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. She was born March 5, 1925 in Buena Vista to the late Grant and Martha Ella Sissel Cooper. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Dunlap, a daughter Marcella Cole, 2 brothers; Homer and Newton Cooper and 2 sisters; Blanche Hodge and Marcella Libby.

Genevieve is survived by 2 sons; Alfred Wright and Newton Morgan Sowards, a daughter, Satana Rose Lundy and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday October 10, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
