Gladys Marie Davis, 85

Gladys Marie Davis, 85 of West Portsmouth, died Saturday October 19, 2013 at SOMC Hospice. She was born March 25, 1928 in Floyd County, Ky. to the late Guy Kenny and Emma Spencer Ratliff. She was a homemaker a member of the First Baptist Church of West Portsmouth, a  former volunteer at SOMC and a foster grandparent at West End Day Care . Along with her parents Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Davis who she married October 27, 1951, a brother Jerry Ratliff and 2 sisters; Nellie Morgan and Betty Joan Walsh.

Gladys is survived by 5 sons; Michael (Betty) Davis of McDermott, Tony Davis of Portsmouth, Tom (Kim) Davis of West Portsmouth, Barry (Lisa) Davis of Friendship and Terry (Rebecca) Davis of South Point, 2 daughters; Karen(Kent) Bowling  of Stout and Donna(David) Kidder of  West Portsmouth,  13 grandchildren; Becky Rollins, Christopher Davis, Amy Bailey, Shane Bowling, Shannon Bowling, Kevin Davis, Jason Davis, and Mark Davis, Jessica Livingston, Luke Lindamood, Nathan Davis, Jacob Davis, Kayla Davis and Jonathon Still. 17great grandchildren; Matthew, Nicholas, Christopher, Braylon, Davis, Trinity, Eli, Carson, Kennedy, Madison, Reagan, Taylor, Noah, Liam, Codi, Hailey and Madison, 2 brothers; Richard Ratliff and Henry Ratliff of Indiana, 2 sisters; Julia Mae Benner of Mansfield and  Ruth Mault of Xenia.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday October 22, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Michael Davis, Shane Bowling and Shannon Bowling officiating. Interment will be in Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
