Goldie Mae Pelphrey, 89

Goldie Mae Pelphrey, 89 of Stout, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Wurtland Nursing and Rehab in. Goldie was born May 5, 1921 in Greenup, Ky to the late David and Ann Rister. She was a Homemaker and a 30 plus year member of Pond Run Baptist Church. Goldie was preceded in death by her first husband; Clinton Taylor "Tinker", son; Freddy Taylor, grandson; Jeff Taylor, step-son; Herbert Taylor, two sisters; Elmie Brownlee and Daisy Williams, three brothers; Alfred, Willie and Cheryl Rister.

Goldie is survived by her second husband; Bruce Pelphrey of Portsmouth, one son; Stephen (Louise) Taylor of Grayson, Ky, five grandchildren; Lisa (Louie) Church of Ironton, Gary (Marie) Taylor of Stout, Candy (Shane) Burnett of Cattletsburg, Ky, Mike (Sherri) Roberts of Richmond, Ky and Stephen Taylor of Cincinnati, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 gt gt grandchildren, step daughter; Mary Holsinger, special relative; Slone Horsley of Portsmouth and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2pm Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Roger W Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jimmy McCullough officiating and interment in Sandy Springs Cemetery.
