Goldie Ann Riddle, 87
Goldie Ann Riddle, 87 of Portsmouth died Monday March 14, 2011 at Hillview Health Care Center. She was born May 27, 1923 in Kentucky to the late Albert and Nila Bell Hale. She was a former employee of Selby Shoe Company and Marting's Department Store and retired from Scioto Memorial Hospital in housekeeping. She was also a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church. Along with her parents Goldie is preceded in death by her husband Walter Thomas Riddle who she married in 1941 in Portsmouth and 9 brothers and sisters.
Goldie is survived by a son and his wife Richard Lee and Gloria Riddle of North Carolina, 3 grandchildren; Richard Riddle Jr. of North Carolina, Robin Gifford and Raedean Nicholson both of South Carolina, 1 brother Thurman Hale of Alabama, 2 sisters; Helen Stone and Wanda Howard both of Galena, OH., and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 17, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
