Gradie Spencer, 82

Gradie Spencer, 82 of McDermott, died Sunday August 22, 2010 at Hempsted Manor. He was born November 17, 1927 in Paintsville, Ky to the late Jasper and Lula Watson Spencer. Gradie worked for Taylor Stone Company and retired from the Duck Run Market. He also attended Beach Fork Baptist Church. Along with his parents Gradie was preceded in death by his wife Eloise Tackett Spencer who her married on June 1, 1946 in Greenup, Ky., 5 sisters; Alka Whittaker, Stella Spencer, Dalphia Watson, Ethel Tackett and Virgie Whittaker, 2 brothers; Lindsey Spencer and Otto Spencer.

Gradie is survived by a son Gerald (Mary Oakes) Spencer of Columbus and a daughter Donna (Jim) Allen of McDermott, 5 grandchildren; Chris (Tonya) Allen of McDermott, Richard Spencer, Michael Spencer and Debbie Spencer Gifford all of Columbus and Jennifer (Brian) Wilson of Lucasville 6 great grandchildren; Brittney Spencer, Joshua Gifford, Ryan Gifford, Jeffery Gifford, Brayden Allen and Madisen Wilson and 1 great great grandchild Makayla Spencer.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday August 26, 2010 at Beach Fork Baptist Church with Debbie Baer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Roger W.
