Haley Simpson, 16
Haley Nichole Simpson, 16, of Shelbyville, KY, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 in Evansville, IN.
Haley was born in Scioto County, OH, and was a sophomore at Martha Layne Collins High School in Shelbyville. She attended the Shelbyville First Baptist Church Youth Group and loved fashion, taking pictures, and "hanging out with her friends."
She is survived by her father, Deron Simpson of Shelbyville; her mother, Tammy Chestnut (John) of Portsmouth, OH; her sisters, Hannah Michelle Simpson of Shelbyville, Emily Faye Chestnut of Portsmouth, OH, and Brandi Wilson of LaGrange; her brothers, Wesley Pierce Chestnut of Portsmouth, OH, and Adam Wilson of LaGrange; her stepmother, Casey Caldwell of LaGrange; her grandparents, Herman and Juanita Simpson of West Portsmouth, OH, Gayle and Ruth Ann Reif of Miamisburg, OH, Shafter and Sheila Pierce of Aiken, SC, and Donald and Ethel Chestnut of Lucasville, OH; her uncles and aunts, David and Kim Simpson of Stout, OH, Brian and Rhonda Simpson of Lincoln, GA, Kraig and Amy Williamson of Miamisburg, OH, Bill and Pam Frowine of Lucasville, OH, Sam and Roxane Tufts of Wheelersburg, OH, and Rick and Tammy Chestnut of Independence; and a tremendous amount of cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, and visitation also will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. A memorial services will be held at noon on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Rubyville Community Church, with Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott, OH.
