Harvey L. Adkins, 81

Harvey L. Adkins, 81 of West Portsmouth went to be with the Lord Monday, November 22, 2021 at SOMC hospice. He was born in Otway, Ohio to the late John and Effie Faye Rogers Adkins.

He was a retired Block layer and loved fishing and watching Nascar and WWF, and also spending time with his family.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Williams Adkins whom he married on October 31, 1968, 3 brothers, Eddie ,Tom, and Jim Adkins, and 1 sister, Mary Stelzer.

Harvey is survived by two sons Kelly (Tammy) Adkins of West Portsmouth, Larry (Wendy) Adkins of Sciotoville, a daughter Sandra "Sis" Orozco and her fiancé Dave Chinn a brother, Bob (Pat) Adkins of Pomeroy, Ohio one sister Rena Ruckle of Columbus, 7 grandchildren, Mandy, Amber, Rachel, Sarah, Samantha, Joe, and Michael, and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday November, 28, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday starting at 12:00 PM Noon. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
