Hazel Ruth Crabtree, 71
Hazel Ruth Crabtree, 71 of Portsmouth, formally of Conkels Run went to be with the Lord Tuesday March 4, 2008 at her home. She was born December 3, 1936 in Lucasville to the late Jack and Elizabeth Ackerman Hoover. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Along with her Parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband William Albert "Bill" Crabtree a daughter and son in law Elizabeth "Libby" and John Vastine, 2brothers Charles and Billy Hoover, 4 sisters; Mary Hayslip, Charlotte Lute, Louella Ratliff and Vernia Wroten.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Connie (Larry) Blair of Portsmouth, 3 grandchildren Richard Vastine, Jennifer Vastine and Larry and Tammy Blair Jr all of Portsmouth, 3 great grandchildren Austin Kitts of Otway, Katie and Brooke Martin of Portsmouth,2 brothers; Jack (Tammy) Hoover and Carl (Donna) Hoover both of Piketon, 2 sisters; Darlene Warner of Lucasville and Annabelle Caudill of West Portsmouth, and caregiver Candy Blevins.
There will be graveside services 1:00 PM Friday March 7, 2008 at Scioto Burial Park with Mike Slusher officiating. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com Arrangements under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
