Hazel Lee Short, 81
Hazel Lee Short, 81 (a resident of Sandy Springs for over 35 years) died Thursday, August 16, 2007 in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee at the home of a son. Hazel was born, January 31, 1926 in War, West Virginia to the late Henry and Laura Doby Sopsher. She was preceded in death by her husband Anderson C. Short on January 23, 2003.
Hazel is survived by four sons, Timothy Short of Warren, Michigan, Donald Short of Utica, Michigan, Stephen Short of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Harry Short of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, George Short and Robert Short; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Matthew Brooks officiating and interment in Mount Joy Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
