Helen Lucille Browning Payne, 90
Helen Lucille Browning Payne, 90 of Phoenix, Arizona formally of West Portsmouth, died Wednesday June 10, 2009 at A Happy Place Nursing Home. She was born November 11, 1918 in Portsmouth to the late Thurman and Ruth Turner Thompson. She was a retired LPN and a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church. Along with her parents Helen was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert Ronald Browning, second husband Howard Payne, sister, Adah Mae Riordan and grandson David Browning.
Helen is survived by her son Ronald (Judy) Browning of West Portsmouth, her daughter Ruth Mary (Gene) Rothell of Phoenix AZ., a step-daughter, Jean Ann (Glenn) Fixler of Tiffin, Oh, 6 grandchildren; Cheryl (Brian) Lundy, Mark Browning, Brenda (Jerry) Good, Todd Bobst, Chad Bobst, Jessica Rothell, 2 step-grandchildren; Jeff Applegate and Julie (David) Davies, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday June15, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Sunday and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
