Helen L. Burchett, 88

Helen L. Burchett, 88 of Friendship died Thursday November 13, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. She was born January 25, 1926 in Friendship to the late Frank and Josephine McGlone Burchett. Helen was a member of the Over 55 Club and the Shawnee Bears and loved Square Dancing. She also received a Special Commendation from the USO during WWII. Along with her parents Helen was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Frank Burchett Jr. and Homer Burchett and 3 sisters; Mary Jane Burchett, Gladys Easter and Wilma Barnett.

Helen is survived by 12 nieces and nephews; David Burchett of Portsmouth, Myrna Burchett Fisher of McDermott, Beverly Burchett Clark of Clarktown, Linda Burchett of Ft. Myers, FL., Jon Burchett of McDermott, Ann Burchett Shirey of Minford, Ron Barnett of Friendship, Mike, Greg, Terry and Neal Burchett all of Columbus and James Easter of West Virginia.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Friendship Cemetery with Peter Michael officiating. Following the service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Nile Township Community Center. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W.
