Helen Louise McCoy, 77
Helen Louise McCoy, 77, a former West Portsmouth resident died Friday, October 8, 2004 at Edgewood Manor in Westerville, Ohio. Helen was born October 19, 1927, in Portsmouth to the late John and Edna Birchfield Riley. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and worked at Mercy Hospital.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Elmer E. McCoy; two brothers, Howard and John Riley; and two sisters Mildred and Imogene Riley. She is survived by five sons, John McCoy of Marion, Jerry McCoy of Chillicothe, Elmer D. McCoy of Columbus, Howard McCoy of Champaign, Minnesota, and Charles McCoy of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Lynch of Springfield, Missouri and Laura Lahvic of Ottumwa, Iowa; two sisters, Mary Newman of Sandusky and Althea Rawlins of South Webster; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor James Richter officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
