Helen Mae Summers, 82 of West Portsmouth died Thursday July 24, 2014 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born July 25, 1931 to the late Shirley and Helena Swords Mershon. She was retired from Mitchellace . Along with her parents Helen is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Summers, 2 brothers; Homer and Lawrence Mershon, and 4 sisters; Delores Meadows, Louella Teeters, Dorothy Mershon, and Joann Luther. Helen is survived by a son, Greg Robertson and a daughter, April Summers both of West Portsmouth, 2 brothers; John Mershon and Gary Mershon, 2 sisters; Ellen Smith, and Geneva Ball and a granddaughter, Mercedes Ann Fetherolf. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 29, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Paul Gibson officiating and interment in Mershon Cemetery.
