Herschel L. Hamilton, 82
Herschel Leonard Hamilton, 82 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday September 20, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born May 23, 1930 in Greenup County to the late Charles Taylor and Martha Josephine VanBibber Hamilton. He was a general contractor and was employed by Reinhardt's Trucking Company as a carpenter and mason. He resided in West Portsmouth for the last 41 years. Along with his parents Herschel was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Lou King and a son Christopher Leon Byrd.
Herschel is survived by his wife Shirley Ruth Howe Hamilton, 5 sons; Bobby Hamilton, Chuck Hamilton, Donnie Hamilton, Herschel W. Hamilton and Thomas G. Hamilton, 7 daughters; Lorin Hamilton, Sandy Wise, Sharlene Byrd, Suree markwell, Trudy Schmidt and Valeria "Kitty" Wade, he was also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday September 24, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Buster Jenkins officiating and interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
