Hilma S. Pennington, 74
Hilma S. Pennington, 74 of South Shore KY, died Thursday June 3, 2010 at her home. Hilma was born August 14, 1935 in Ashland to the late Marion and Bessie Hickman Howell. She was a homemaker and a member of White Oak Chapel Church. Along with her parents, Hilma was preceded in death by her husband Bill Eugene Pennington who she married on May 3, 1953 in Greenup, Ky., and a son Ronald Pennington.
Hilma is survived by 3 sons; Charles W. Pennington of West Portsmouth, Jeffrey S. Pennington and Samuel L Pennington both of South Shore, 2 daughters Karen Worthington of Raceland and Georgianne Gordon of Melborne, Fl., a stepson Michael Pennington of Clearfield, Ky., 3 sisters; Nancy Cornwell of Ashland, Mary Ann Spencer of Newport, TN and Doris Haynes of Ashville, NC., 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
There will be private services held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that donations be made to Ashland Community Hospice in Hilma's name. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
