Howard Eugene Carr, 66
Howard Eugene Carr, 66, of West Portsmouth died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Howard was born July 23, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William Fredrick and Nellie Mae Henry Carr. He retired from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility and the U S Navy. He was a Veteran of Vietnam, a member of American Legion Post 23, and a member of Stoney Run Freewill Baptist Church.
Howard is survived by his wife Phyllis Rose Reedy Carr; a son, Howard "Tony" Carr; three daughters, Sheila "Bruce" Carr Hammond of West Portsmouth, Lisa "Matt" Copas of Pinkerton, and Crystal Jo Carr; a half sister Wanda Cooper of Troy; eight grandchildren, Chris, Adam, Madison, Rielly, Jordan, Treyci, Haylee, and Tori.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Don Ellis and Tony Carr officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park with grave side Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
